Calculating Instantaneous Reaction ratesNow that we are able to convert Absorbance to Concentration, we can calculate instantaneous reaction rates for any point on the kinetic trace. Solve the following problem for the kinetic trace below, using the Beer's Law calibration slope, 0.0117 %-1, you have obtained in the simulation on the previous pages. Since we are using molar concentrations in all calculations, it is useful to convert this slope value into the value in M-1, using the 100% concentration of the Yellow 6 solution, 3.40E-5M:
